Worship As Prayer
Sometimes, the best prayers aren’t spoken words, but through song. Through worship. Through silence. Through tears. Through surrender.
A couple of weeks ago, I didn’t have many words to speak to Jesus. Instead, I gave him my tears. My love. And my song. I pictured Jesus’ face, his eyes gazing into my own, and all words left. All I could do was weep—in delight and in awe of His love for me!
This is worship. This is prayer. It doesn’t have to fit in a tidy, little box. It doesn’t have to look a certain way. You don’t have to sound a certain way. All God wants is your heart, whatever that looks like. So whether you sing, sit in silence before Him, or pray—it’s all a living sacrifice. That is enough for Him.
My heart is steadfast, O God, … I will sing and make melody! … Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth!” (Psalm 57:7, 11).
